Security Awareness and Personal Safety
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 states that employers have a duty of care to their employees and others whilst at work. In addition, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 make it clear that the risk of harm must be assessed and reduced accordingly.
AIM OF COURSE: To give personnel sufficient knowledge, understanding and confidence to manage potentially unsafe situations.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Customer services staff, receptionists, security officers, postal staff.
KEY BENEFITS: Understand legal requirements, ensure compliance with legislation by training your staff and to provide a safe, working environment.

- Identifcation of issues at the client's premises

- Legal powers (reasonable force etc.)
- Malicious communications (electronic, mail, electronic communication)
- Suspicious mail and packages
- The law and post incident procedures
- Personal safety
LOCATION: In house only.
NUMBER OF ATTENDEES: Up to 6 attendees.
PRICE: Our course fees for London and the south east are as follows:-
Half a day £450.00 plus VAT
One day (two half day courses) £600.00 plus VAT
WHAT THE PRICE INCLUDES: The provision of the course for up to 6 attendees and training material for each attendee.
CERTIFICATION: Each attendee receives a personal Smart FM certificate of attendance.
OUR TRAINERS: Our security awareness trainer is a Fellow of the Security Institute and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Security and Risk Management. He has 30 years' experience in security and risk management including experience with the City of London Police (Fraud Squad, Special Branch, Major Crime Investigations, Major Incident and Public Order Command and Crime and Terrorism Prevention) and as Head of Group Security for a major bank.
