Compartmentation surveys

Solutions to contain fire and smoke

Compartmentation surveys are an essential part of fire safety management, particularly in buildings, aimed at assessing how well a building’s structure can prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and heat. Compartmentation refers to the division of a building into sections (or compartments) using fire-resistant materials and barriers to help contain a fire within a specific area and limit its spread to other parts of the building. This is crucial for protecting occupants, minimizing damage and allowing for safe evacuation and fire fighting efforts.

We undertake compartmentation surveys by conducting a detailed inspection of a building’s fire passive fire protection including walls, ceilings, floors and service ducts. The assessment is to ensure that each compartment is, compliant with regulations and functioning properly to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and heat in the event of a fire.
