Case Study : Fusion Lifestyle

Fusion Lifestyle asked us to conduct fire risk assessments on all their centres in Southwark, Tunbridge Wells, Croydon, Hounslow, Leathehead and Oxford. The 40 centres included large leisure centres, sports centres, swimming pool complexes, town and village halls and local community centres.

In addition, they asked us to conduct health and safety audits on their Oxford centres which covered aspects such as training, hygiene, fire safety, first aid, risk assessment, building certifications, water hygiene and disability arrangements.

More recently, we have been tasked with handling their relocation of their head office to larger premises in central London to accommodate organic growth within the organisation.

"Smart FM worked for Fusion to carry out fire risk assessments at our 45 leisure centres and health and safety audits for our Oxford division.  They are currently managing our Head Office relocation project.  We have found Smart FM to be an extremely knowledgeable, professional and efficient contribution to our business and its growth"

Chrissie Thorpe, Head of Asset and Facility Management, June 2009
"We engaged Clare Smart of Smart FM to help manage our office move in central London. Clare's brief included working with designers and staff to establish and design storage requirements; arranging and managing the physical move of staff, files and office equipment; arranging all transfer and address-change issues; establishing archive facilities; arranging all service contracts for the new offices; preparation of staff welcome pack; and support and guidance for the new office administration team.

Clare carried out the project diligently and professionally, dealing competently and effectively with all issues that arose. She progressed the project to the required timescales, hitting all deadlines. Her communications were effective and constructive with all parties, including suppliers, staff, contractors and authorities.

There is no doubt that without Clare, the move project would not have progressed in the smooth and trouble free way that it did. Our move was on time and on budget, and all our staff and visitors are delighted with our new accommodation."
