Case Study : Barbour Environment Health and Safety

Smart FM were approached to provide regular documentation for Barbour’s Estates and Facilities Management online resources. The brief includes the production of a weekly newsletter for Barbour’s Estates and Facilities Management subscribers and a range of resource documents for the Barbour’s Estate and Facilities Management document library on a varying range of topics including Managing Vacant Property, Commercial Leases, Zero to Landfill and FM Procurement.

Smart FM were then engaged to undertake a review of the Estate and Facilities Management document library and make recommendations in order to ensure that key topics and key publishers of information were included in the library.

"Barbour has used Clare’s facilities management expertise and knowledge to improve its offering to the estates and facilities market and have found her to be highly professional, reliable and a valued member of our expert team.

Clare is responsible for supplying content for Barbour’s weekly newsletter, aimed at FM professionals, and has always delivered relevant and topical copy on time. By doing this, she also sources key documents for Barbour’s document library to help ensure the information is as current and relevant as possible.

Contributing to Barbour’s collection of resource documents, Clare has also produced several guidance documents in various formats on important FM topics including vacant property management and leases. This content forms a crucial part of the Barbour Service.

By undertaking a review project for Barbour, Clare also highlighted some key areas for Barbour to build on in order to improve the estates and facilities Service, such as appropriate publishers and key topic areas".
